Frank's Story- How this little dog changed my life.
Frank's story is a sweet one. Coming from unknown territory, he managed to land himself into a household of adventure that all began on November 11, 2008, when a quiet little pug mix came into the clinic I was working at. I think we were both confused as to what to do with one another. So after long thoughts about each other, I decided to take him to the back and decide what the next step was...well, I had to know if he was ok to take home, if he was healthy or what was going on with him. The first easy step, a fecal. Ok, that checked out negative, but I still got him dewormed. Heartworm test? Why did I have some sort of negative thoughts on it. Not five minutes into the test it comes up strong positive! EEK! What on earth had I gotten myself into? No vaccines, intact male dog AND heartworm positive. I had no idea what I was going to do and honestly panicked, even thought about euthanasia. After getting some sense talked into me and some time to think, I thought, ok...I can do this, one step at a time. Here we are vaccinating...here we go. Then came the neutering and finally heartworm treatment. Here we are in present day. I have the best dog in the world! I love him so much, and although you might think I am a little crazy and obsessive, I don't care. My dog is the greatest friend in the world. He doesn't judge me, doesn't argue with me (although he can be extremely stubborn and he will stare me down when he doesn't want to do something) and he is always there when I feel like Bitching or crying or whatever it is I feel that day.
You're more than welcome to voice an opinion on what kind of mix Frank is. My roomie and I are guessing a Chug (pug/chihuahua mix) or a miniature pincher/pug mix.
